Thales bets on cybersecurity with the acquisition of S21sec and Excellium

Thales (Euronext Paris: HO), a world leader in advanced technologies and cybersecurity, completed the acquisition of two European cybersecurity companies, S21sec (in Portugal and Spain) and Excellium (in Belgium and Luxembourg), brought together under the Maxive Cybersecurity holding, following the signature of a According to Bright Pixel Capital announced in May 2022.

S21sec has around 400 employees in nine locations in Portugal and Spain, and Excellium has 146 professionals in Luxembourg and Belgium, significantly reinforcing Thales’ expertise and presence in this important market. Maxive Cybersecurity takes advantage of Thales’ leading business in Cyber-Solutions to enrich its offer and strengthen the capabilities of its Global Security Operations Center (SOC) in Madrid. Through Thales’ networks, it will be possible to ensure greater efficiency in incident detection and response processes and better support for international customers.

With more than €1 billion in sales generated in 2021, through an extensive cybersecurity portfolio, Thales is involved in every step of the cyber-value chain, offering solutions ranging from risk assessment to protecting critical infrastructure, backed by comprehensive threat detection and response capabilities.
