Prosegur Security, the division of Prosegur that offers physical and electronic security solutions to corporate customers, inaugurated its new iSOC – Intelligent Security Operations Center -, in Lisbon. The design and implementation of this state-of-the-art center involved an investment of more than one million euros and will lead to the creation of 100 new jobs.
This center integrates cutting-edge technology (Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Big Data, etc.), intelligent data processing, advanced security services and will enable security operations to be addressed in a smarter and more agile way, anticipating the risks and threats that companies currently face. With this new investment and capabilities, the company reaffirms its commitment to the Portuguese market, where it has been operating for over 40 years.
the inauguration of iSOC was in charge of Superintendent Pedro Neto Gouveia, Director of the Private Security Department of the Public Security Police. The event was also attended by representatives of various political authorities and representatives of the State Security Forces and Corps.

The differentiation provided by iSOC
With the opening of the new iSOC, the company introduces new technological advances that support and improve the functions and services provided to its customers. Among these, the management of alert signals and the activation of security protocols stand out; the active monitoring of images – including greater capabilities through the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence – the remote management of vehicle and people entrances and exits; and reviewing compliance with customer regulations and operating parameters.
In addition, the iSOC extends remote capabilities to handle technical incidents and is configured as the data collection and analysis center to strengthen operational capabilities in the field, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.
Prosegur Security currently has more than 3,000 clients in Portugal and, from its operations center, more than 3,500 client installations are supervised. In addition, the iSOC is capable of monitoring more than 4 million alarms per year, as well as more than 50,000 virtual tours. The company also has a team of around 5,000 employees in the country, of which more than 160 will be located in its new operations center.
Regarding the global reach of iSOC, Prosegur is working on the transformation of another 12 facilities – similar to the one in Lisbon – in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Spain, USA, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Singapore and Uruguay, with the objective of developing collaborative work and networking between different markets.
