Dashlane launches new plan for startups and small businesses

.

Dashlane, a specialist in password management and digital identity, has just announced the expansion of its business solutions, with the launch of Dashlane Starter. Aimed at entrepreneurs, startups and small businesses, the new plan is suitable for teams of up to ten people, allowing them to have access to all the key features associated with the password manager.

“Whether it’s a small business, a fast-growing startup, or a global organization with thousands of employees, no business should function without basic security services. Every day the headlines show us: weak or compromised passwords are responsible for the most common and harmful breaches for companies. Implementing a password manager is a low-risk investment for a high-risk issue, and we are committed to being that first line of defense for all organizations, regardless of size.”

JD Sherman, CEO of Dashlane.

For 20 euros per month (2 € per month per employee), Dashlane Starter presents itself as a plan premium flexible, no-obligation monthly fee, simple to implement and manage.

In parallel, Dashlane announces updates in its set of solutions for companies, with the introduction of new functionalities across all business plans. In order to provide stronger security tools for administrators, these features include constantly active alerts on security breaches threatening employees via Dark Web Insights, as well as an improved implementation of two-factor authentication (2FA) using the app. standalone Dashlane Authenticator.

In addition, Dashlane Business users can now also count on real-time assistance from the Dashlane team, via telephone support. These characteristics allow companies to obtain:

Visibility into risks for all employees

The Dark Web Insights feature provides administrators, in real time, with detailed information about compromised passwords, user by user, across the enterprise. Dashlane continuously checks over 20 billion records related to hacks or breaches, with around a million new records added daily to ensure no threat goes unnoticed.

In addition to detection, Dark Web Insights gives administrators the ability to search for breaches across the organization, not limited to those using Dashlane – employees targeted for security breaches can be instantly invited to start using Dashlane. The combination of this alert function with the ability to generate new, random, and unique passwords makes it possible for administrators to easily take action when alerted about compromised credentials.

“It’s really helpful to always be aware of potential security breaches targeting employees. So when you help employees deal with a breach, you are also training them and giving them valuable safety advice to help prevent it in the future.”

Heather Hankins, Dashlane User – Security Specialist at the National Educational Telecommunications Association.

Extra layer of security for the entire organization

Generating unique, random passwords is the first step towards protecting a digital workforce, but in a fragmented environment where employees every day depend on dozens of tools and services they require. Loginmulti-factor authentication (MFA) has become an essential component to further ensure the security of online accounts.

Dashlane’s standalone authentication app can now be downloaded to iOS and Android devices to provide a simple way to enable MFA for accounts. The Dashlane Authenticator app adds an extra layer of security to any account that supports two-factor authentication (2FA) and is a perfect complement to the password manager – this duo of products will increase the security of all accounts with tokens 2FA, with the convenience bonus associated with using two Dashlane apps.

By using the Authenticator app, Dashlane makes auto-completion of token 2FA perfect for vault items and allows secure sharing of both passwords and 2FA codes – a common use case in the office environment (if co-workers want to share a social media account, for example).

Telephone support from Monday to Friday

Launching phone support is intended to address a common admin pain point. Business plan users in Portugal and around the world can now request and schedule a call directly with the Dashlane support team between 2pm and 11pm, Monday to Friday.

For everyone using the Business, Team or Starter plan, access to support via chat in English, French and German is also available Monday through Friday, 2pm to 11pm, with Community Success features and onboardingas webinars of training.

From the times of working within four office walls, to the uniquely changing dynamics of the workforce and its tools, this release marks thirteen years of Dashlane innovation in its mission to make safety simple, regardless of rapidly changing conditions. .

In the coming months, Dashlane business users can look forward to faster employee account creation, audit trails, and the ability to serially select/delete.
