Lamb Island: the island that Uri Geller wants to turn into a nation

Lamb Island, Scotland, has never been of great interest to anyone except bird watchers, however, after its purchase by the famous mystic Uri Geller, it has been making headlines. For those who have never heard of Geller, his resume summary includes bending metal spoons with the force of his mind on TV in the 1970s, being friends with celebrities like Michael Jackson and constantly running away from the challenges of skeptic James Randi.

To BBC, Geller said that he always wanted to have an island like the character James Bond and that he was initially interested in the small piece of land and rock after having seen an ad for sale in the newspaper. The purchase decision, however, only came after he came into contact with the Scottish amateur historian Jeff Nisbet’s theory that the island would have inexplicable similarities to the pyramids of Giza in Egypt.

An island and many mysteries?

For Nisbet, Lamb and the other two islands that surround it mirror exactly the position in which the pyramids of Egypt are distributed. This connection between Scotland and Egypt is also present in a chronicle called Scotichronicon, written in the 15th century, which states that, in reality, Scotland was founded by Princess Scota of Egypt. Geller, like every good storyteller, increases this theory a little and says that Scota would have anchored her ship at Lamb and that she would have buried a treasure there.

There is no evidence for any of these stories, but that doesn’t stop Geller from counting them and adding mysterious details each day. In addition to the connection with Egypt, the mystic claims that the bones of victims of the North Berwick witch trials, which took place in 1590, also ended up on the island, taken by authorities who feared the bad luck that the remains of witches could bring to their homes. villages.
